The oval is the most civilized of dining forms. It has no hierarchy — no head, no foot, only a continuous perimeter.

This table is cut from Roman travertine. The horizontal geological banding visible across the oval surface is not a finish — it is the record of the stone's formation in the thermal springs of Tivoli, where calcium-rich water deposited layer after layer over centuries. The warm ivory and caramel tones deepen in certain lights, flatten in others.

Two cone-form column pedestals replace the conventional four-leg grid. The form reads as Roman, as sculptural — somewhere between a column capital and a vessel. The stone does not touch the ground at four corners. It rests on two points, and the cantilever of the oval over each pedestal is the table's defining gesture.

Travertine is porous. It will mark. It will record meals. This is its nature, not its flaw.

Made to order. Each table extracted and finished to specification.
