There is a difference between a sink and a basin. A sink is a fixture. A basin is a vessel.

The Carved Travertine Vanity integrates both into a single block of Roman travertine. The basin is carved directly into the counter surface — not cut in, not framed, carved. The stone becomes the vessel. Below it, two drawers with flush or recessed pulls complete the furniture object. The drawer fronts carry the same horizontal geological banding as the counter above: the stone grain runs uninterrupted from top to floor.

Travertine from Tivoli is warm before it is white. The ivory and caramel tones come from the calcium-rich thermal waters that deposited the stone over centuries. The natural pitting — where gas bubbles were trapped in the formation — is sealed on working surfaces and left open on visible faces, where it reads as the geological record it is.

The bathroom it is installed in becomes a room made of stone. Not finished in stone. Made of it.
