Edition 001Block TVN-2025-047·Extracted Q3 2024Tivoli quarry, Roman region

The cloud form was cut from a single block. Not assembled. Not constructed. Extracted and shaped.

The double-lobe biomorphic silhouette is carved from black and dark grey veined marble. In plan, the shape reads as two lobes joined at a narrow isthmus — a geological plan that has no precedent in furniture design and every precedent in nature. From the side, it is low and decisive. From above, it is a shadow on the floor.

In black marble, the form is simultaneously primitive and contemporary. The dark ground absorbs ambient light and reflects only what is directly above it — the ceiling, the lamp, a passing hand. The organic silhouette breaks the geometry of every other object in the room.

Set on a rug in a minimal living space, the Cloud Coffee Table is the room's first statement and its last.
