How is the travertine finished?

Arrested movement, cast in stone.

The base of the Wave Coffee Table is carved from black and grey veined marble — Nero Marquina adjacent or Bardiglio — into a continuous organic wave form. The carving does not merely suggest movement. It preserves a structural gesture at a specific moment: the stone was always going to be this shape. The slab above rests on it without effort.

The top is a flat rectangular slab. The contrast between the disciplined geometry above and the organic carving below is the table's subject. In low light, the base shadow pools on the floor in an organic line that shifts through the day.

Dark stone in a room changes the room's centre of gravity. This table pulls the eye downward before it pulls it outward.
