A room with a low horizontal plane reads differently. The eye follows the line and the wall extends.

The Travertine Credenza is a low sideboard with two sliding stone panel doors in Roman travertine. The horizontal grain orientation of the travertine is not an accident of cutting — it was specified. The layering of the stone runs parallel to the long axis of the piece. The geological strata and the furniture's proportions reinforce each other: both horizontal, both unhurried.

Travertine from Tivoli carries warmth before it carries whiteness. The ivory-caramel ground against a plaster wall reads as the same material family, the furniture dissolving into the wall's surface. In certain lights, the credenza disappears. In others, the stone's natural pitting and banding make it the room's most present object.

Made for rooms where the stone wall and the furniture are meant to read as one continuous geological plane.
