Two ways to work together

Choose the one that fits the project.

Some studios purchase directly and bill the client. Others prefer the client to transact and take a commission. Both are open to you, and you can move between them project to project.

Option One — Specify & Earn

Specifythe standard route

Your client purchases. You are paid.

You specify the piece, your client buys it at retail, and you are compensated on the sale. No purchase on your side, no inventory, no logistics. We handle fulfilment, delivery and aftercare.

  • Commission on every piece placed, rising with your annual volume
  • Your client pays the same price as anyone else — no discount conversation
  • Paid on confirmed delivery, settled monthly
  • Referral link or a plain email introduction — both are tracked and confirmed
  • A dashboard showing placements, pending payments and where you stand
  • No minimum volume, no exclusivity

The exact rates are sent the moment your account opens.

Option Two — Purchase Direct

Procurewhen the firm bills

You purchase. You bill the client.

Some firms are required to procure and invoice under their own name. Trade pricing is available on that route, arranged per project rather than as a standing discount tier.

  • Trade pricing on all configurations and finishes
  • Priority production: 3–5 weeks instead of the standard 4–6
  • Complimentary stone samples — the $30 fee is waived
  • Certificate of origin, CAD files and specification sheets for the spec book
  • Custom dimensions cut to your drawing, quoted within 48 hours
  • A dedicated project contact for coordination and logistics

Tell us your procurement requirement in the application and we structure it around it.

Active travertine quarry in Tivoli, Italy, where each Tobia Stones block is extracted

Beyond the discount

An extended studio.

For the architect designing a residence to be inherited. For the interior designer whose drawings will outlast the final invoice. For the hospitality team commissioning a lobby that will register as memory long after the stay ends.

The percentage is the easy part. What matters more is that provenance, cut, finish, lead time and custom dimensions are handled personally — project by project, by someone who knows the quarry the block came from.

There is a portal. There is a code. There is also a direct line, and you will use that one more.

Included with every trade account

What you receive.

01

Specification sheets

Full technical documentation for every finish: density, porosity, finish tolerance, recommended sealing. Formatted to drop straight into a spec book.

02

CAD & 3D files

DWG and OBJ files at true dimension, so the piece can be placed in your drawings and renders before a single sample is shipped.

03

Physical samples

Cut from the same blocks as production stone, not a catalogue chip. Free on a trade account. Because no render shows what travertine does at four in the afternoon.

04

Custom dimensions

Height, width and depth cut to your drawing. Quoted within 48 hours. The block is large enough that most requests cost nothing extra.

05

Certificate of origin

Named quarry, extraction date, block reference. Clients commissioning at this level ask where the stone came from. You will have the answer in writing.

06

Priority production

Trade orders move to the front of the cutting schedule: 3–5 weeks rather than 4–6. Installation dates rarely move for stone.

Roman Plinth in raw split-face travertine with a honed top surface

The material

One block. No veneer.

Roman travertine, quarried in Tivoli — the same geological formation the Colosseum was cut from. Each piece is extracted and shaped from a single block. No veneer, no joint, no assembly. The sides are left raw so the pores and sedimentary strata stay visible. The top is honed matte.

Before you apply

Questions we are asked.

Who qualifies for a trade account?

Practising interior designers, architects, design studios, property developers, hospitality and contract buyers, and stylists working on commissioned projects. We verify through your website or portfolio. There is no revenue threshold and no requirement to have purchased before.

How am I compensated, and why not a straight discount?

Most houses hand the trade a flat discount. We pay a commission instead. Your client pays the same price as any other client, and you are compensated on the sale — which means you never have to frame your work as having secured a deal. You specified a piece. That is a different conversation, and a better one.

The rate is progressive: it rises as your annual volume grows, so the studios who bring us the most work earn the most on every piece. Exact rates are sent when your account opens.

Can I both purchase directly and take commission?

Not on the same order — one route applies per piece. But you can move between them freely across projects. Firms that must procure and invoice under their own name use trade pricing; everyone else specifies and takes the commission. Tell us which you need in the application.

Is there a minimum order or an annual fee?

Neither. No minimum volume, no annual fee, no exclusivity clause, and no obligation to order at all. The account stays open whether you specify once or twenty times, and you can close it at any point.

How are custom dimensions handled?

Send the drawing or the measurements. We confirm feasibility against the block and return a price within 48 hours. Because the pieces are cut from a single large block, most dimensional changes carry no surcharge — we will tell you plainly when one does.

When is referral commission paid?

Within 14 days of confirmed delivery, once the return window has been cleared. You are credited whether the introduction came through a tracked link or a plain email — we confirm attribution with you before the order is processed, so nothing is ever ambiguous.

What if the stone is wrong for the room?

Trade orders carry a 30-day return window. This is also exactly why samples are free on a trade account — travertine changes considerably under different light, and no render or screen reproduces that. Take the sample to the site before you specify.

Do you ship outside the USA, Canada and Australia?

Those three markets are covered by our standard white-glove rate. Elsewhere we quote per project — the piece weighs 121 lbs, so freight is genuinely case by case. Ask, and you will have a number within two business days.
